I purchased this radio and once tuned up......added an Astatic Road Devil power mic.....the meter does not lie its an honest to goodness audio flame thrower !!!!!

I purchased one of these a week ago from sparky's and What an amazing radio! Sparky did a Top Notch job tuning & Aligning the radio and having the clarifier unlocked is a nice bonus! This radio reminds me of the Solid built Cobra 148's and Grant Xl's of the past with all those options we always wanted in them! Don't be afraid of the Refurb. Galaxy does an amazing job it's like buying new!

I ran this radio with no problems at all! upgraded to a better radio but thinking of puttin it back online with a texas star 399 transmitter real soon. always got good reports when i used it with a ASTAIC 626 mic and no regrets. good simple working mans radio for not much cash

This is one great raido, and for the price it's like i stole it. Sparkie did a good job tuneing up this rig. For a factory raido it's loud and proud. The ssb is a little finikey during warm up but its no big deal. i talk 60+ miles on ssb all the time. Also the BIG meter relly helps.
Great radio for a low price.

I got one of these from Sparky's a few years ago. Solid radio at an awesome price. I also had the TG's put in as well which enhanced the radio.
