Based on the 29 LTD Classic platform with added features: The new weather receiver with scan automatically advances to the next clear channel when driving cross-country ensuring the driver is always getting the latest weather alerts and warnings. Also new is the industry’s first and only Radio Check Diagnostic. Now users can monitor the radio’s RF output, SWR setting, and vehicle battery voltage.

The 29 LX also includes all 40 channel scan and memory channel programming, Instant channel 9 and 19, audible key tones, channel frequency readout for CB and weather channels, 4 watts AM RF power output, the maximum amount of power allowed by law; Talk Back controls allowing drivers to adjust the desired amount of modulation talk-back.

I just got my 29LX and can sya, it keeps up the Cobra 29 tradition! I bought it over a different manufacturers radio because it is a REAL bi polar radio inside, and a REAL model 29! It only took about a second to fall in love with the new face. Easy to set-up, easy to change, and looks KILLER during the day or at night! I have showed to 3 guys and ALL want one, especially after they hear me on the air.

I just got my snake from Sparky. The radio is in super shape. The Team built a super looking radio. Sparky really Enhanced the receive, and as for the transmit, well this new 50th Edition really enchances the RFX100. I bet this new Cobra, can out talk with BIG AUDIO like Galaxy,any previous Cobra edition. I own two, the orginal, and the snake. Sparky has done it again! Great Radio Sparky,thank you,Nervous Wreck
