I have turned this radio up on the modulation side of it. It sounds good but want to experiment to see what it will do if I lower the dead key down and then have the swing with modulation. I can not find where the power would be. I know where it is for mod and have looked at cb tips and tricks and all it shows for me is the microphone wiring .. Can anyone help me on this one. Thanks guys. I appreciate it as always.

scootter this is what I have on the TRC-427, modulation is vr-5, AM power is L-15,L-12, vr-1 is RX gain, vr-2 is squelch,vr-3 is receive meter, vr-4 is the Tx meter. If these numbers dont correspond to your radio then I have the wrong numbers and as always I incourage everyone to confirm the adjustments with their own research. Usually on the TRC models the modulation adjustment with the radio knobs facing you with the speaker side open is in the middle of the radio and to the right side, the AM power adjustment is usually in the rear of the radio and are to the left side but no always and have little tuning cores incased in plastic that you can stick a small sized plastic tuning tool into. Hope this helps.

http://cbtricks.com/radios/realistic/trc_447/index.htm

open the service manual it will tell you how to adjust
most everything,,,a multimeter is a must have

cityboy is right on,,the tuning pots should all be labeled on your pc board

have fun

grandpaclint the reference you give is for the TRC-447 and does not use the same board. Cbtricks.com does not have the service manual for that radio, but the pots should be labeled on your board for you to adjust. You will need proper equipment to get them adjusted properly. Good luck.
