Squelch popping noise

I have a Cobra 25LTD Classic, fairly new. When the radio is squelched, and then someone keys up, I'm hearing a "pop" noise when the squelch first breaks, through the speaker. It is more noticeable at low volumes. Is this just a design flaw of this radio, or is it something that can be fixed?

I personally think this is normal. Depending on the maker and year then tend to act that way. The electronic gate is opening. Both new Cobra 29 LTD Classic & Black Chrome I have do that. Just a light pop or click noise. If it is a repeating noise than it is ignition.
