Do you mean a General Lee? That's a pretty big radio for the vehicle. I'm not sure that you can use the ligher plug, as it will draw quite a bit of power. You'll be better off running wires right from the battery. I'd use 10 or 8 gauge wire, then you solder that radio wire to it, inside the passengar cabin. ---------- "... it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you, it's what you leave behind you when you go."

If it's long enough to reach just run it straight to your battery. Look for a rubber grommet on your firewall, poke a hole through it and feed the wires through it. If it's not long enough to reach do what this_is_nascar suggested. ---------- 2AR101My little barefoot mobile SS-158EDX SkyThumper ST-65DX Wilson 1000 Workman HP 201S Uniden Bearcat ext speaker

Yeppers, if you can run your wires (hot, red & ground, black) directly to the battery you'll be a lot better off - even if you have to use a 'jumper' wire to get there.. And don't forget to fuse the hot (red) wire about 3" to 6" from the battery.. Be really safe and put a fuse on the ground (black) wire also.. Remember DO NOT use hot and ground wires thinner than the original power wires that's connected to the radio... ---------- .."Free men do not ask permission to bear arms".. ..My wheelchair can go from 0 to 6 in 2.7 seconds.. ..I'm 'not' a total idiot yet - some parts are still on 'back-order'..
